75 Poodles seized:

As many of you already know from TV and the local newspaper,
approximately 75 poodles plus, were found in squalid conditions June
12th and 13th in the home of a Duchesne County breeder who had become
ill and unable to care for them.

Unfortunately, the dogs went without food or water for about five days
until family came forward after the owner died at the hospital.
The Roosevelt Animal Shelter Manager Kim Farley and Darlene Koerner
(Pet Samaritan) are working with other agencies to transfer dogs to
places as soon as possible……they are limited in space and are in dire
need of funds and help for the rest left in the home and at the
shelter.  Several of these poodles are still at the home.  Live traps
have been set to bring the remaining ones into the already overcrowded
City Shelter.

The Roosevelt/Duchesne County Shelter is in dire need of supplies and
donations to continue their progress with the remaining dogs….until
the majority can be re-located or adopted.

Please send donations in care of:
Pet Samaritan Fund, 3802 S Sunnydale Dr., Salt Lake City Utah, 84109
